Okura Oriental Art has had reputations as the shop that features the antiques to highlight interiors since it was established in 1975.  Expert knowledge and advice are provided in a warm and friendly atmosphere.  Our hand-selected antiques complement your lifestyle, rather than remaining hidden and locked away.  We are pleased to provide items which will make your living space and table distinctive and beautiful.  Mizue Sasa is the owner of Okura Oriental Art.  Giving friendly, helpful, and expert service to customers is very important to Mizue and her assistants.  They will help you to find fine, authentic and affordable Japanese antiques.  English is spoken, and there is a wealth of experience in dealing with international customers to make them feel welcome.

Should you have any questions or require further information, we would be happy to hear from you.  Additional photos are gladly provided upon request.  Shipping and insurance costs are in addition to the prices. 
Please use Contact Us form.  We will inform you as to the availability of the item, and the total cost to your inquiry.  All items are sold subject to the first person who places order.  Payment may be made by VISA, Master, American Express, JCB.  We will present any quote for your approval.  (EMS, FedEx, DHL, or Hubnet Express for large items ).  The total cost will be invoiced to your e-mail address after everything is agreed by the buyer.  Orders are shipped upon receipt of payment. 
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will accept return of the item within seven days of purchase.  Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. 
Important Notes about shipment-please read BEFORE making your order. 
*We usually send the items by EMS - Express Mail Service of Japan Post Office.  Basically, the postage of EMS is less expensive than the cost of FedEx or DHL.  (this is only when we ship small items.  Large or heavy items, like Tansu, are not applicable as EMS items.)  However, while the cost is the most reasonable, if an EMS item is lost, stolen, or its contents are damaged while being handled by the Post Office, the buyer should file the Damage Report to the local post office. 
Therefore, in case of such accidents, we need your agreement that you will have to make contact with your local post office to file the Damage Report.  If you do not wish to use EMS and prefer shipment other than EMS, please indicate it, before completing your order. 
Unless indicated, we will ship your order by EMS.
